Kansas City Leads Houston, 23-7, at Halftime

The Chiefs have scored on every possession so far in Houston

The Kansas City Chiefs are leading the Houston Texans, 23-7, at halftime on Sunday Night Football at NRG Stadium.

Chiefs' quarterback Alex Smith found running back Charcandrick West for a pair of touchdowns, including one with just seconds remaining in the half.

Kicker Harrison Butker added three field goals for Kansas City as the Chiefs scored on all five of their possessions.

Smith completed 18 of 24 passes for 207 yards and two touchdowns in the half, finding tight end Travis Kelce for a team-leading eight catches and 98 yards. 

Defensive tackle Chris Jones tallied a forced fumble for Kansas City as part of a dominant defensive effort in which the Chiefs yielded just one score.
