Kansas City Trails Buffalo, 13-3, at Halftime

The Chiefs are locked in a defensive struggle at Arrowhead Stadium

The Kansas City Chiefs are trailing the Buffalo Bills, 13-3, at halftime at Arrowhead Stadium on Sunday afternoon.

Chiefs' kicker Harrison Butker was responsible for Kansas City's lone points of the half, connecting on a 45-yard field goal in the period's closing minutes.

It was the rookie kicker's 23rd consecutive made field goal, setting a franchise record. 

Quarterback Alex Smith completed 4-of-11 passes for 41 yards in the half.

Buffalo scored the sole touchdown of the half when Bills' quarterback Tyrod Taylor found wide receiver Zane Jones for an 11-yard score late in the first quarter.

Bills' kicker Steven Hauschka added a pair of field goals to complete the scoring.

Linebacker Reggie Ragland, who the Chiefs acquired from Buffalo prior to the season, has five tackles and two tackles for loss on the afternoon.
