Kansas City Trails Pittsburgh, 12-3, at Halftime

The Chiefs and Steelers are locked in a defensive battle at Arrowhead Stadium

The Kansas City Chiefs are trailing the Pittsburgh Steelers, 12-3, at halftime at Arrowhead Stadium.

Wide receiver Jehu Chesson recovered a misplayed free kick by Pittsburgh midway through the first quarter, setting up a 46-yard field goal from Harrison Butker for the Chiefs' lone score of the half.

The Steelers tallied a safety on Kansas City's first drive of the game when the snap sailed over Chiefs' quarterback Alex Smith's head and through the back of the end zone.

Butker's field goal temporarily put the Chiefs out in front before Steelers' running back Le'Veon Bell punched in a touchdown from three yards out in the second quarter.

Chiefs' defensive back Marcus Peters notched his second interception of the year in the half, picking off Steelers' quarterback Ben Roethlisberger.
