Marcus Peters Named NFL's Defensive Rookie of the Month

The awards keep coming for the first-round pick

It was just three weeks ago that Kansas City Chiefs rookie first-round pick Marcus Peters was named to the Pro Bowl, and now, he's the NFL's Defensive Rookie of the Month.

After a December that saw him finish with 15 tackles, 4 interceptions (1 of which was returned for a touchdown), 9 passes defensed and a forced fumble, Peters adds more to what it is a quickly-growing list of accomplishments just eight months after being selected by the Chiefs with the No. 18 pick in the 2015 NFL Draft.

Peters has been a playmaker all month, but even more importantly than that, his play led the Chiefs to win all four of their games in December.

While this award is another reminder of the level he's playing at, his focus remains on Saturday and the challenge of facing the Houston Texans.

That all said, the Chiefs nailed this pick.
