If you're a fan of the NFL, then there's nothing that gets you more fired up this time of the year than a good ol' mock draft, and 'tis the season for connecting players to teams weeks before free agency has even begun.
We're still more than two months away from the actual 2017 NFL Draft, which takes place April 27-29 in Philadelphia, but that doesn't stop the internet from doing what it does best—speculating, guessing and ultimately facilitating discussion amongst fans.
Luckily for you, we've compiled a list of many of the selections these experts have made for the Kansas City Chiefs with the No. 27 overall pick.
In this week's edition of the Mock Draft Roundup, one of the names that jumps out is Washington cornerback Sidney Jones, whose player comparison on his scouting report via NFL.com is Chiefs cornerback Marcus Peters, who also played collegiately at Washington.
Jones was mocked to the Chiefs by NFL.com draft analyst Chad Reuter.
After winning the NFL Defensive Rookie of the Year award two years ago, plus a first-team All-Pro nod last season, Peters gives Jones some big shoes to try and fill.
