NFL Now Offering Veterans Combine Of Their Own

The NFL will host a “veteran’s combine” in March

Just like the Scouting Combine held in Indianapolis every February for college players, the NFL is now offering a "veteran's combine" for veteran free agents.

The event will be held in Phoenix at the Cardinals training facility on March 22, which is just 12 days after the new league year begins. Players have the opportunity to apply for the event and around 100 will be chosen to participate.

"The event will allow veteran free agents to go through the same kinds of drills and testing draft prospects go through in Indianapolis, with representatives of all 32 clubs on hand," said Darin Gantt of Pro Football Talk.

It seems to make sense for everyone to get together and evaluate these players all at once. Logistically, this would also seem to save time on both sides as well.
