The National Football League has temporarily banned all on-field pyrotechnics following an incident at Nissan Stadium last week prior to a game between the Tennessee Titans and Indianapolis Colts.

The league is reviewing the incident and will keep the ban in place at least until the investigation has concluded.  

In the meantime, teams are still permitted to use pyrotechnics away from the field, such as fireworks placed in other locations than the playing surface.
