The NFL has been slowly trickling out its annual "Top 100" rankings over the last month, and for the 10th year in a row, tight end Travis Kelce earned a place on the list.
Kelce landed at No. 37 in the rankings on Tuesday after catching 97 passes for 823 yards and three touchdowns in 2024. He also added 13 grabs for 175 yards and a touchdown during the Chiefs' postseason run.
The veteran tight end now owns the NFL record for consecutive seasons with 80+ catches in league history with nine, passing Jerry Rice, Marvin Harrison and Torry Holt. He also possesses the NFL record for any player – regardless of position – with 178 postseason catches. His 2,078 receiving yards and 20 receiving touchdowns both rank second in NFL postseason history behind only Rice.
Here's a portion of what NFL.com's Bobby Kownack wrote about Kelce:
"…[Kelce] still finished fifth among TEs in yards and third in receptions (12th overall) on the way to his 10th straight Pro Bowl [last season]. The 35-year-old is one of the NFL's greatest-ever exploiters of zone coverage and maintains a cosmic connection with Patrick Mahomes…He'll make defenses pay plenty once again in the season ahead."
Kelce joined center Creed Humphrey (No. 93) and cornerback Trent McDuffie (No. 81) as members of the Chiefs to appear in the "Top 100" so far. The rankings, which seek to list the league's top performers as voted on by the players themselves, will continue to be gradually released over the next several weeks.
