Travis Kelce Named to "NFL Top 100 Players of 2018" List

Kelce joined Kareem Hunt and Tyreek Hill in the annual rankings

Another member of the Kansas City Chiefs was recognized by his peers on Monday night as tight end Travis Kelce checked in at No. 24 in NFL Network's "Top 100 Players of 2018" rankings.

It marked a third-straight appearance for Kelce on the annual list, which has honored the NFL's best as voted upon by the players themselves since 2011. Slotted at No. 91 in 2016, Kelce jumped all the way up to No. 26 in 2017 and ascended another two spots this year.

Kelce's selection was for good reason, as the five-year veteran hauled in 83 catches – leading all tight ends - for 1,038 yards and eight touchdowns in 2017, tallying the most yards after the catch (439) of any player at his position.

Kelce is the third Chiefs’ player to appear on this year’s list so far, joining wide receiver Tyreek Hill (No. 40) and tailback Kareem Hunt (No. 33). The rankings began in April and have been partially unveiled each week in groups of 10.

Interestingly enough, the Chiefs – entering this year - have been represented in the rankings more than any other team since the show began with 36 selections.

Tune in to NFL Network next week to see if another member of the Chiefs joins the list.
