Upon Further Review: Six Quick Facts About Sunday's Loss to Tennessee

Here are some interesting notes about the game

The Kansas City Chiefs lost a tough one on Sunday, falling to the Tennessee Titans following a last-minute rally.

Here are some quick notes about the game.

1. Through 25 career starts, there's nobody better than Patrick Mahomes

Mahomes took the field for the 25th regular-season game of his career on Sunday, and when looking at NFL history, nobody has gotten off to a better start as a pro.

The 24-year-old Mahomes ranks first in passing touchdowns (68), passing yards (8,007), completions (598) and passer rating (112.5) among all players ever through 25 career starts, compiling a truly remarkable resume.

In terms of the game itself, Mahomes tallied the third 400-yard passing performance of his career and his 16th game with 300+ yards. There's also this incredible stat from the folks at NFL Research:

2. Tyreek Hill is officially the most prolific receiver through four seasons in franchise history

Hill hauled in a career-high 11 catches for 157 yards and a touchdown on Sunday, marking his most productive game of the season and back-to-back performances with at least 140 yards through the air.

In fact, since returning from injury in Week 6, Hill ranks second in the NFL with 527 receiving yards, trailing only the Tampa Bay Buccaneers' Mike Evans.

And those numbers have piled up over time, as Hill – now with 3,798 career receiving yards - broke Dwayne Bowe's record for the most receiving yards through four seasons to begin a career in franchise history on Sunday.

Hill's touchdown also marked the 30th receiving score of his young career.

3. Mecole Hardman accomplished something that only Otis Taylor had before in Chiefs' history

Hardman caught his fifth touchdown of the season on Sunday, reeling in a jump-pass from Mahomes and turning on the burners to cover 63 yards on the score.

The electric Hardman is just the second rookie receiver in franchise history to catch five touchdown passes through his first 10 career games, joining Otis Taylor, who did it way back in 1965.

And, as Sports Radio 810's Soren Petro points out, Hardman now has a shot at the Chiefs' rookie record.

4. Chris Jones was a force defensively once again

A week after leading the NFL with seven pressures, Jones wreaked havoc yet again on Sunday with five pressures, 2.0 sacks and a forced fumble.

Jones now has 5.0 sacks this season and five multi-sack games for his career.

5. Let's take a moment to celebrate Mitchell Schwartz's incredible snap streak

Schwartz briefly left Sunday's game due to an injury, bringing his streak of 7,894 consecutive offensive snaps played to an end. It was the longest active streak in the NFL and demonstrates just how tough Schwartz really is, as amassing a streak like that isn't easy.

6. Tennessee made some plays in the end to win the game

The Titans had to find the end zone on their final drive, and they ended up making the plays needed to do so as Tennessee quarterback Ryan Tannehill found wide receiver Adam Humphries for the game-winning score.

It was a tough ending to a great game.

Kansas City returns to action next week on Monday Night Football with a matchup against the Los Angeles Chargers in Mexico City.
