How do I register?

Where is my packet?
Your packet will be mailed to you via USPS to the shipping address you designate during your registration. Your shipping information and tracking number will come to you via email from Big River Race Management (noreply@goshippo.com). If you have any packet mailing related questions, please email GEHA5K@brrm.com .
I don't live in the United States, can I still participate?
Yes, anyone is welcome to participate and can input their international shipping address during the registration process. Anyone residing outside of the United States is required to pay $20.00 shipping costs for their race packet.
Where will the race begin?
The race will begin on Friday, May 10th at Arrowhead Drive on the South side of GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium. If you are participating virtually, you may start and finish your 5k at the location of your choice.
What time does the race start?
The 1k race begins at 6:30pm and the 5k race begins at 7:00pm. We encourage runners to arrive early. Detailed instructions will be sent to you via email.
Where is packet pick-up?
There are three options to receive your packet:
- In-person packet pick-up will be Thursday, May 9th from 12:00pm to 7:00pm at Chiefs Fit Overland Park 9290 Metcalf Ave Overland Park KS, 66212. There is no charge if this option is selected.
- Packets can be mailed via USPS to the shipping address you designate during registration.
- Day-of packet pick up may be selected for a $10.00 fee. Participants must pick-up their packets between 5:00pm-6:00pm on race day at the Pavilion.
Can I register the day of the event?
Yes, you may register online up until Friday, May 10th at 4:59pm CST. It is recommended to register early for a discounted price and to ensure your packet arrives via USPS prior to race day.
Is there an age limit for younger runners?
There is no age limit for runners. All minor participants will require a guardian's signature on the online waiver page. T-shirt options include youth sizes, so please make those size selections during your registration.
If I sign my child up for the 1k race, can I run/walk with them?
Yes. You may run/walk with your child. When filling out their registration you will be asked if you would like to participate. Please indicate 'yes'.
Can I run with a jogging stroller?
Yes, you may run with a jogging stroller. Children riding in strollers do not need to be registered.
Can non-participants experience the race?
This year the post-race experience still has a virtual component! We encourage you to upload your race results and photos to your social media platforms.
Are dogs or other pets allowed?
Unfortunately, no pets and other animals are allowed at the GEHA Field at Arrowhead 5K for the in-person run. Service Animals will be permitted access per ADA guidelines.
Are there refunds?
Processing fees are non-refundable. Registration fees may be refunded once a refund request is made, and the request is approved by management. Please email GEHA5K@brrm.com for any refund questions.
Is the GEHA Field at Arrowhead 5k timed event?
Yes, this race is a chip-timed event. In-person participants will be chip timed.
Will there be winners?
Yes. We will have a special prize for the winner of each age group for the in-person run only. Age group breakdown and prize information will be on the registration website.
Can someone else pick up my packet?
Yes. They will need to bring a printout of your email confirmation and sign for your packet.
