The Kansas City Chiefs acquired four draft selections from the Los Angeles Rams in exchange for cornerback Trent McDuffie on Wednesday.
Kansas City received picks in the first-round (No. 29 overall), fifth round and sixth round in addition to a third-round selection in 2027 as compensation for McDuffie.
For reference, the Chiefs now possess the following picks in the 2026 NFL Draft:
Round 1: No. 9 overall
Round 1: No. 29 overall (via Los Angeles)
Round 2: No. 40 overall
Round 3: No. 74 overall
Round 4: No. 109 overall
Round 5: No. 148 overall
Round 5: No. 169 overall (via Los Angeles)
Round 5: No. 176 overall (Compensatory)
Round 6: No. 210 overall (via Los Angeles)
McDuffie departs Kansas City as a two-time Super Bowl champion who played a critical role in the Chiefs' historic march to three-straight AFC titles from 2022 through 2024. He earned All-Pro honors in back-to-back campaigns from 2022-23, and his pass-breakup late in Super Bowl LVIII – which took place on a third-down, corner blitz – left the door open for Kansas City's comeback and eventual victory.
Now headed to Los Angeles, McDuffie's career will continue elsewhere, but his legacy in Kansas City as a member of the Chiefs' back-to-back championship teams will remain. The picks the Chiefs acquired in exchange for his services, meanwhile, will provide Kansas City with a chance to ignite another run of sustained success.
