Chiefs Announce Ways Fans can be Part of 2016 Arrowhead Gameday Experience

The Kansas City Chiefs are announcing three opportunities that will allow members of Chiefs Kingdom to participate in the Arrowhead gameday experience during the 2016 season by opening applications for the 2016 Voice of the Kingdom National Anthem contest, auditions for the Chiefs Rumble Professional Drumline and nominations for the 2016 DiPardo Spirit Leader.

Fans who wish to become the 2016 "Voice of the Kingdom" and perform the National Anthem at a home game at Arrowhead will have the chance to perform in front of 70,000-plus fans and take the stage previously shared with acts like Grammy winner and world-famous opera singer Joyce DiDonato, country favorites Martina McBride, Gloriana, Love & Theft and more. In addition to performing the National Anthem at a 2016 home game, the winner of the Voice of the Kingdom contest will receive eight game tickets, four parking passes, two pregame field passes, a customized jersey to wear on the field during their performance and a link to view and share their gameday performance online.

Applicants are eligible to submit a video entry for the Voice of the Kingdom contest at www.chiefs.com/voiceofthekingdom between Tuesday, May 3, and Friday, May 13. Three finalists will be announced on Monday, May 16 and will have their submission videos published on www.chiefs.com/voiceofthekingdom where the Kingdom will have the chance to vote for their favorite performance once a day through Monday, May 23, at noon CT. The National Anthem contest winner and runner up will be announced on Monday, May 23, on www.chiefs.com and by the team's social media accounts immediately following the end of the voting period.

The Rumble, the Chiefs Professional Drumline, was first formed in 2010 and makes several paid appearances throughout the year, ranging from community events to pregame performances in the parking lots, at tailgates and in a pregame parade around the stadium, on-field during games, in the Hy-Vee Hot Zone at halftime, and around the stadium following a Chiefs win.

Auditions for the Chiefs Rumble Professional Drumline will take place at Arrowhead Stadium on Sunday, June 5. Those interested in auditioning for the Rumble should have prior percussion experience and a passion for performing. Applicants can find more information on the role and fill out an application at www.chiefs.com/fan- zone/chiefs-rumble.html. Applications are now being accepted through Saturday, June 4. The Rumble roster will be announced on Tuesday, June 7, on www.chiefs.com and the Rumble twitter account, @ChiefsRumble.

The DiPardo Spirit Leader program, which began as a special tribute to "Mr. Music", Tony DiPardo, honors members of our community who embody the strength, optimism and commitment of those within Chiefs Kingdom. Fans who know someone who exemplifies the spirit of Chiefs Kingdom and continues to exceed expectations through volunteer work, public service or leadership will have the opportunity to submit a nomination to be recognized as the DiPardo Spirit Leader during a 2016 regular season home game where they will lead the crowd in "The Chop" drum ceremony in the fourth quarter. Each DiPardo Spirit Leader will receive two game tickets, a parking pass and a commemorative item from the game.

Nominations for the 2016 DiPardo Spirit Leader should include basic contact information of the member of Chiefs Kingdom and a brief explanation why the nominee should be honored. In order to be eligible, a nominee must be located in Chiefs Kingdom and/or serve primarily Chiefs Kingdom residents, demonstrate a commitment to unifying the Kingdom and agree to make it to a Chiefs game on the day designated by a Chiefs representative. Nominations may now be submitted at www.chiefs.com/contests/dipardospiritleader.html.
