KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The Kansas City Chiefs will be hosting eight high school football teams for an "11-On" competition at Paragon Star (1401 NW River Road) in Lee's Summit, Missouri, on Tuesday, June 9.
The "11-On" initiative is a unique, half-day, team experience that supports scholastic high school football team competition. It focuses on building character and life skills along with team foundations throughout the exciting, fast-paced, competitive event.
The participating schools include:
- Raytown South High School
- Winnetonka High School
- Mill Valley High School
- Lawrence Free State High School
- Olathe South High School
- Liberty High School
- Olathe Northwest High School
- Fort Osage High School
The event begins at 9 a.m. and concludes at 4 p.m., with different schools participating throughout the day.
The event format includes multiple 7-on-7 games going on along with position-specific drills being conducted in alternating drill stations to work on skills and technique.
Chiefs "11-On" is open to the public and is free to attend, whether you have a family member or friend competing or are just a football fan.
The Kansas City Chiefs are continuing to devote efforts toward creating opportunities for young men and women to participate in the game of football. The club has put a specific focus on increasing participation among young women and successfully sanctioned high school Flag Football at the state level in Kansas and continues the effort in Missouri. In addition, the Chiefs are convening with athletic directors in both states to discuss resources available to enable the launch of high school girls Flag Football programs in their school districts.
