Chiefs Renew Contract with KMOV in St. Louis

On Tuesday, the Kansas City Chiefs announced that the club has renewed its contract with CBS affiliate KMOV in St. Louis, Missouri. The agreement marks the second-consecutive year that KMOV will carry Chiefs games and content in the country's 21st-largest media market.

"We are excited to reach a renewal agreement with KMOV in St. Louis," Chiefs President Mark Donovan said. "KMOV was an integral piece of the success that we saw in our first year broadcasting in the St. Louis market. We look forward to our programming being on-air in St. Louis again, so Chiefs fans there will have our content in their homes."

As part of the agreement, KMOV will carry all four Chiefs preseason games live on-air in St. Louis and in addition, will feature Emmy Award-winning original Chiefs programming, including Hy-Vee Chiefs Insider, Chiefs Rewind presented by Community America Credit Union, and the club's 52-week programming, including episodes of Chiefs Kingdom presented by Hy-Vee.

"The Chiefs have a big following here in St. Louis," KMOV General Manager Mike Murphy said. "Channel 4 is excited to bring these games to our area for the second year in a row."

The award-winning production arm of the Kansas City Chiefs, 65 Toss Power Trap Productions, continues to craft and design all weekly shows in-house with the team's staff of producers and directors and has produced all aspects of the team's preseason broadcasts in-house since 2012. The 65TPT crew has taken home 40 Emmy Awards in the past six years and became the first NFL team to win a Gold World Medal at the New York Festivals in 2013 while also winning five Bronze World Medals and one Silver World Medal from 2011-16. The name 65 Toss Power Trap Productions, first used to identify the club's production team in 2006, honors Pro Football Hall of Fame Head Coach Hank Stram's play call that led to a RB Mike Garrett touchdown in the Chiefs victory over the Minnesota Vikings in Super Bowl IV.
