Backyard Football and NFL PLAY 60

Friday's matchup will spotlight Backyard Football, a popular video game first introduced in the late 1990s as part of the Backyard Sports franchise, which has revived to reach a new generation of fans. Prior to kickoff, fans attending the game can visit a Backyard Football-themed activation in the Ford Tailgate District featuring gaming stations, giveaways, a football throwing game, and photo opportunities with iconic Backyard Sports character Pablo Sanchez. In addition, Pablo Sanchez will be available for photos with fans near Section 118 outside the Hall of Honor during the first quarter. Inside Arrowhead Stadium, the Backyard Football aesthetic will be integrated into graphics, animations, video elements, and live moments throughout the game.

Additionally, the game will celebrate NFL PLAY 60, a league-wide initiative created to encourage kids to get active for at least 60 minutes each day. In honor of NFL PLAY 60, the Chiefs Flag Teams of the Game, YMCA Girls 14u and the 14u Girls Play Flag Football, will take the field at halftime Friday to showcase their skills in a scrimmage, giving fans a chance to see the next generation of athletes compete under the lights.
