Mock Draft Roundup 8.0: A Versatile Playmaking CB Enters Mix for Chiefs

Gathering up the latest mock drafts from around the internet

If we're being honest, it's still way too early for mock drafts to be anything more than a chance to learn the names of some players available in the upcoming draft.

Teams are still adding players in free agency, and rosters, along with the evaluations of all of these prospects, are still very much fluid with many pro days and official visits yet to take place.

That said, the process of learning about players who could potentially join the Kansas City Chiefs is entertaining, and it gives you a chance to take a quick break from work or watching March Madness to check out a few of these players.

For the Chiefs, there's one name that's started popping up recently that's intriguing, and that's USC cornerback Adoree' Jackson. Jackson, along with Clemson quarterback Deshaun Watson, are the only two players mocked to the Chiefs multiple times this week.

"There are two things teams love – ball production from cornerbacks and return men who can play meaningful snaps on every down," via NFL.com's Draft Profile on Jackson. "[He] fits those criteria. His lack of size and length are concerns, but he has the athleticism to step right in as a slot corner on the next level.

"[Jackson's] combination of coverage and return talent could make him an early impact player."

While the Chiefs have an All-Pro returner in second-year player Tyreek Hill, the opportunity for an expanded role for him on offense could potentially lead to opportunities for others on special teams.

Jackson fits the mold of "the more you can do."
