NFL Power Rankings: Where Do the Chiefs Rank After Sunday's Thrilling Win?

Here’s a look at the latest NFL power rankings from around the web

The Kansas City Chiefs rallied to beat the Baltimore Ravens in overtime at Arrowhead Stadium on Sunday afternoon, preserving their perfect record at home while securing an AFC-best 11th victory on the year.

And, according to the experts, the win re-established Kansas City as one of the two best teams in the NFL.

NFL.com analyst Elliot Harrison has the Chiefs at No. 2 in his rankings, up two spots from last week and behind only the New Orleans Saints.

Here's a portion of what Harrison had to say:

"…the Chiefs' D made some huge stops. Justin Houston's strip-sack darn near won the day in regulation. Then, Bob Sutton's group held the fort on the second possession of overtime. Ultimately, the Chiefs might be asked to win this style of contest in the postseason…"

The folks at ESPN agreed, slotting the Chiefs in at No. 2 behind New Orleans. Analyst Adam Teicher mentioned Kansas City's upcoming showdown with the Los Angeles Chargers – ESPN's No. 4 team – in his breakdown of the Chiefs' high-ranking:

"A win over the Chargers on Thursday night would get the Chiefs one of their goals -- they would clinch the AFC West title -- and get them close to another, which is home-field advantage throughout the playoffs."

Kansas City took over the top spot in CBS Sports’ rankings, meanwhile, jumping the Los Angeles Rams. The first sentence of analyst Pete Prisco's commentary says it all:

"They are the best team in the league right now."

Here's a look at where a handful of other outlets have the Chiefs ranked this week:

NBC Sports: No. 2

USA Today – No. 3

The Chiefs return to Arrowhead in just a few days to take on the Chargers in primetime on Thursday Night Football.
