POWER RANKINGS

Power Rankings Week 11 | Where do the Chiefs Rank Heading into Raider Week?

Here’s a look at the latest “NFL power rankings” from around the web

The Kansas City Chiefs had some time off following their victory over Carolina in Week 9, but despite not taking the field over the bye week, the Chiefs still maintained the top spot in several of the various "power rankings" from around the web.

Kansas City once again checked in at No. 1 in NFL.com's rankings this week, slotting in ahead of the Pittsburgh Steelers, New Orleans Saints, Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Green Bay Packers. Interestingly enough, the Chiefs will face two of those teams (Tampa Bay and New Orleans) within the next five weeks.

Yahoo! Sports also has the Chiefs atop their rankings this week, and if you ask writer Frank Schwab, quarterback Patrick Mahomes is making a strong case for league MVP:

"We'll hear about Kyler Murray's MVP chances or why Alvin Kamara isn't getting more MVP buzz, but it's because we're already giving some Michael Jordan treatment to Patrick Mahomes. Voters got bored giving Jordan the NBA MVP in the 1990s and started passing it around to others. The same could happen to Mahomes, who has become the clear MVP favorite this season."

The folks at Bleacher Report agreed with that ranking, placing Kansas City in their top spot while identifying the numerous reasons for the Chiefs' success this year.

"Quarterback Patrick Mahomes is stating a strong case for a second NFL MVP award. He has 25 touchdown passes against just one interception and is on pace to flirt with another 5,000-yard season. Rookie running back Clyde Edwards-Helaire is on pace to top 1,000 rushing yards. Wide receiver Tyreek Hill and tight end Travis Kelce form the best one-two punch of pass-catchers in the league. Add in an underrated defense, and the Chiefs are the team to beat in the AFC yet again."Here's a look at where the Chiefs landed in some other power rankings from around the web:
