Power Rankings Week 17 | Where do the Chiefs Rank Following Sunday's Victory?

Here’s a look at the latest NFL “power rankings” from around the web

The Kansas City Chiefs won their eighth game in a row on Sunday by defeating the Pittsburgh Steelers in dominant fashion. The victory meant that Kansas City locked up a sixth-straight AFC West crown while maintaining the top spot in the AFC playoff picture.

It also helped the Chiefs continue their ascent in the various NFL "power rankings" from around the web, as Kansas City claimed the top spot in Sports Illustrated’s rankings this week. Here's what they wrote about the two-time defending AFC champions:

"The Chiefs have been the best team in the league for the last four years now. We know all about their rocky start, and plenty of people have written about their defense's turnaround during this eight-game winning streak. What else is left to say? With their talent and playoff experience, they'll be my favorite heading into the postseason."

Elsewhere, the folks at Yahoo! Sports ranked Kansas City as the second-best team in the NFL this week behind only Green Bay. Here's what writer Frank Schwab had to say about the Chiefs:

"Even without Travis Kelce, the Chiefs rolled the Steelers. The Steelers might be flawed but they're not bad, and Kansas City had zero problems with them. It's getting harder to talk yourself into anybody but Kansas City making the Super Bowl out of the AFC."
