Power Rankings Week 5 | Where do the Chiefs Rank After Monday Night's Win?

Here’s a look at the latest NFL power rankings from around the web

The Kansas City Chiefs moved to 4-0 on the season following Monday night's victory over the New England Patriots, becoming one of just six undefeated teams on the year while maintaining their top spot in the various NFL "power rankings" from around the web.

For starters, the folks at NFL.com have Kansas City atop their rankings once again this week following a dominant performance by the Chiefs' defense on Monday night.

Here's a portion of what analyst Dan Hanzus had to say about the Chiefs:

"The Chiefs won on Monday night because their defense showed it can still deliver a big performance even without the unit's best player. A groin injury sidelined Pro Bowl defensive tackle Chris Jones, but the defense still put pressure on the quarterback and forced four turnovers in a 26-10 win over the Patriots."

CBS Sports agreed with that assessment, slotting the Chiefs in at No. 1 for the fifth-straight week this season while pointing out the impressive showing by the defense:

"They showed against the Patriots that they could win games even when they don't play as well on offense."

ESPN also has Kansas City as the No. 1 team in football ahead of the Seattle Seahawks, Green Bay Packers, Baltimore Ravens and Buffalo Bills. The Chiefs knocked off Baltimore in Week 3 and will face Buffalo on Thursday Night Football in just a few weeks.

It was more of the same across the web on Tuesday morning as Yahoo! Sports, Bleacher Report, The Ringer, USA Today and The Sporting News each ranked Kansas City as the best team in football heading into Week 5.

The defending Super Bowl champions talked all offseason about how they weren't satisfied with last year's title, and a quarter into the "Run It Back" campaign, they've proven it.
