The Kansas City Chiefs defeated the Denver Broncos, 19-8, on Thursday night to keep pace for the top record in the NFL while also maintaining a high standing in the various "power rankings" from around the web.

For example, the Chiefs checked in at No. 2 in Sports Illustrated’s rankings this week, trailing only the San Francisco 49ers. Here's a portion of writer Conor Orr's analysis:

"I think defensive coordinator Steve Spagnuolo has been fantastic so far this year. If I were ranking some of the top coordinators in the league right now, he'd be in the conversation."
