Power Rankings Week 3 | Where do the Chiefs Rank Following Sunday's Victory?

Here’s a look at the latest NFL power rankings from around the web

The Kansas City Chiefs defeated the Jacksonville Jaguars, 17-9, behind a resilient performance from all three phases on Sunday afternoon, earning their first victory of the season while also maintaining a high standing in the various NFL "power rankings" from around the web.

The folks at NFL.com placed the Chiefs at No. 2 in their rankings this week, checking in behind only the San Francisco 49ers. Here's a portion of Lead Draft Writer Eric Edholm's analysis:

"Travis Kelce and Chris Jones were back on the field in Week 2, and they each made their imprint on the gutsy win at Jacksonville."

CBS Sports, meanwhile, slotted the Chiefs at No. 4 in this week’s rankings. Here's what Senior Writer Pete Prisco had to say about Kansas City:

"The offense didn't do a lot in beating the Jaguars, but the defense came up big, especially in the red zone. We need not worry about Patrick Mahomes and gang. They will be fine."

Lastly, NFL writer Frank Schwab from Yahoo! Sports ranked Kansas City at No. 4 this week. Here's a portion of Schwab's analysis:

"The Chiefs' defense hasn't gotten a ton of attention yet, but it will if it continues to play well. Kansas City has allowed 23 points, if we remove a pick 6 the Lions got in Week 1, through two games. And it's not like Detroit and Jacksonville are bad offenses."

Here's a look at where the Chiefs landed in a handful of other "power rankings" from around the web:
