Chiefs Announce 2026 Hunt Family Foundation Spring Grant Recipients

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – On Tuesday, Chiefs Chairman and CEO Clark Hunt and the Kansas City Chiefs announced 18 grant recipients from the Hunt Family Foundation Spring Grant Cycle.

Each spring, the Chiefs and the Hunt Family Foundation provide grants to various organizations that work to make the Kansas City region a better place for children and families to grow. During the 2026 Spring Cycle, over $350,000 was awarded to 18 regional organizations.

"The Kansas City Chiefs and the Hunt Family Foundation are proud to support these 18 organizations and their missions," Vice President of Community Impact and Civic Affairs Anne Scharf said. "These organizations reflect the spirit of our founder Lamar Hunt and the Hunt Family Foundation by responding to community-identified needs and helping expand opportunities for low-income children and families across Kansas and Missouri."

The following organizations received 2026 Hunt Family Foundation grants:

A long-term supportive housing program for women and children recovering from generational poverty, substance abuse, and trauma.

Works to build a healthier community by leading the multidisciplinary response to the prevention, identification, and treatment of child abuse and violence.

Equips and empowers homeless families to achieve stable housing, resilience, and lasting independence through comprehensive housing programs, personalized support, and community partnerships.

Ensures children in vulnerable communities have a strong start in their development through three quality early education centers, wraparound family support, and an arts-based curriculum.

Works to strengthen communities and improve lives of Latinos and others through educational, social, and economic opportunities.

Works with Kansas City eastside neighborhoods to meet their changing needs at home and school by serving children and families providing opportunities for early childhood development, youth leadership, community engagement, and lasting change.

Upholds the promise of an equitable educational experience so Kansas City students thrive socially, emotionally, and academically.

Works to serve vulnerable communities and families across the Kansas City metro while reducing unnecessary nutritious food waste discarded to landfills.

Mobilizes the community to solve the literacy crisis by connecting students with reading mentors, resources, and unwavering support.

Works to advance literacy within the Kansas City metropolitan area through direct services, advocacy, and collaboration.

Serves the Kansas City community to shelter and educate homeless, pregnant, and parenting young women by providing comprehensive services that empower them to make successful life decisions for themselves and their babies.

Works to improve health and transform lives through its mission to break the cycle of poverty by providing dental, food, clothing, hygiene, children's mental health, and diaper assistance.

Protects children in the Kansas City community from physical and sexual abuse through education, advocacy, forensic, medical, and mental health services ensuring children feel safe in nurturing families and communities.

Provides a coordinated network of support focused on providing high-quality early education for low-income families.

Kansas City's specialized trauma treatment center serving the mental health needs of young children.

Offers support to Latino families in Greater Kansas City through grantmaking, scholarship support, and college advising.

Provides technology concepts and leadership development to create a pipeline of future-ready technology professionals through project-based learning and innovative programs.

Creates and implements school-based programs that enable children to overcome obstacles and focus on their education to succeed in school and life.

Since the inception of the Spring Grant Cycle in 2023, the Hunt Family Foundation has awarded 64 grants and over $1.2 million in funding to organizations that benefit children and families in the Kansas City region.
