As the Chiefs prepare for the 2020 playoffs presented by Hy-Vee, the Chiefs are announcing the "Run It Back Sweepstakes" and "Run It Back Packs" as two special ways that fans can engage with the team throughout the playoff push. As part of the Run It Back postseason campaign, a number of activations will be popping up around the city to help build excitement as the team looks to defend its Super Bowl title.
The Run It Back Sweepstakes offers fans the chance to win Chiefs autographed memorabilia, prizes and even playoff tickets to home postseason games. Fans can enter the Sweepstakes multiple ways, including the QR Code Hunt and the AR Filter Tag & Share. Fans who pre-purchased one or more Run It Back Packs online were also provided a submission form to enter into the Sweepstakes. Details on the postseason campaign can be found at www.chiefs.com/runitback.
The QR Code Hunt
Beginning today (Tuesday, Jan. 5), fans will be able to find life-size cardboard cutouts of players, as well as posters and murals throughout the city. These cutouts, posters and murals will have a QR code. Fans can scan the code with their phone's camera and fill out the form to be entered into the Sweepstakes. One form submission equals one Sweepstakes entry. The more QR codes fans find, the more entries they submit, the better their chances of winning.
AR Filter Tag & Share
The team has developed a Run It Back augmented reality experience within the Chiefs Mobile app. Fans should make sure their Chiefs Mobile app is updated, or fans without the app can download Chiefs Mobile in their mobile device's app store. Once fans are in the app, navigate to "Run It Back AR Tag & Share," which is found both on the home screen and in the "more" menu. Take a selfie with your Chiefs gear on, or tag something with the Run It Back logo. Finally, share your image on your Twitter and Instagram accounts using #RunItBack. Each photo that is submitted with #RunItBack is one entry into the Sweepstakes. The more images a fan shares, the better their chances of winning.
Run It Back Packs
Fans can get their hands on a limited-edition Run It Back Pack for the playoffs, which includes a flag, a fanny pack, a can cooler and a mask, all with the special Run It Back logo. The packs are being sold at Hy-Vee locations throughout the metro area for $25, with net proceeds benefitting Cornerstones of Care, which served as the beneficiary of the 36th annual Chiefs Charity Game, which took place on Sunday, Jan. 3 for the season finale vs. the Los Angeles Chargers. A map of all participating Hy-Vee locations selling Run It Back Packs can be found at www.chiefs.com/runitback.
