Joe Bleymaier enters his fifth season with the Chiefs and third as the pass game analyst/assistant quarterbacks coach in 2020. Bleymaier served as an offensive quality control coach for two seasons (2016-17). He came to Kansas City after previously spending three seasons at the University of Colorado as a quality control coach (2013-15).
In 2019, Bleymaier helped lead a passing game that ranked fifth in passing yards per game (281.1) and second in average gain per pass play (7.48).
In 2018, Bleymaier helped lead a passing game that featured the NFL MVP, QB Patrick Mahomes, as he threw for 5,097 yards and 50 touchdowns, which is only the second time in NFL history that a player has thrown for 5,000 yards and 50 touchdowns.
In his first four seasons, Bleymaier has helped the Chiefs to a 46-16 record, winning four straight AFC West Division Titles.
Prior to his time at Colorado, Bleymaier spent two seasons at Wauwatosa East High School in Milwaukee, Wis., while he was attending law school.
Additionally, Bleymaier spent three summers as a football operations intern with Andy Reid and the Philadelphia Eagles (2007-09) while Reid was the Head Coach and Executive Vice President of Football Operations in Philadelphia.
Bleymaier was a four-year letterman as a wide receiver at Delaware (2002-05), where he hauled in 74 career receptions for 864 yards (11.7 avg.) with 11 total offensive touchdowns. In his sophomore season, Bleymaier was a member of the Blue Hens' 15-1, I-AA National Championship team.
