Ryne Nutt

Biography
Ryne Nutt enters his 16th season in the NFL and his first as VP of Player Personnel in 2025. He was named Director of Player Personnel/College Scouting in 2022 after serving one season as Senior Director of College Scouting (2021), three seasons as the Director of College Scouting (2018-20) and one season as the Assistant Director of College Scouting (2017).
In his current role with the Chiefs, Nutt helps play a critical role in shaping the team's roster to help assure sustained competitiveness each season. Currently, Nutt oversees all aspects of college scouting and assists General Manager Brett Veach in identifying and evaluating talent across all phases of player personnel- NFL Draft to free agency.
Nutt was promoted to Assistant Director of College Scouting in 2017 after serving five seasons as an area scout (2012-16), covering the West/Northwest, Northeast and Southeast parts of the country. Prior to being promoted to an area scout in 2012, Nutt spent his first two NFL seasons as a scouting assistant with Kansas City (2010-11).
Nutt spent one season as the tight ends coach at Wagner College (2009) before joining the club. In 2008, he served as the defensive line coach at Iona College.
After spending four seasons playing offensive line for Central Connecticut State and graduating Summa Cum Laude, Nutt served as a summer camp volunteer coach for the Blue Devils. Nutt was a Mid-Major All-American on the field, as well as an academic All-American his junior and senior year.
