Biography
Anudike-Uzomah earned first-team all-state honors as a senior at Lee's Summit High School in Kansas City, Missouri. He played in five games as a reserve (three tackles, one sack) during his first year at Kansas State. Year 2 was a breakout season, as he shared the Big 12 Conference Co-Defensive Lineman of the Year award with Iowa State's Will McDonald IV. The first-team all-conference selection tied for the FBS lead with six forced fumbles and tied for 10th with 11 sacks (among 51 tackles, 14.5 for loss) in 12 starts. Anudike-Uzomah appeared to tie an NCAA record with six sacks against TCU, but the NCAA ruled that fumbles he forced on two of those would-be sacks went past the line of scrimmage, making those plays rush plays instead of pass plays. He had another excellent season in 2022, earning third-team Associated Press All-American and Big 12 Defensive Player of the Year honors with team highs of 11 tackles for loss and 8.5 sacks (among 46 total stops) in 14 starts. Anudike-Uzomah was also a finalist for the Ted Hendricks Award and Lott IMPACT Trophy (Integrity, Maturity, Performance, Academics, Community and Tenacity).
