SPORTFIVE Facilitates Media Rights Agreement Between Kansas City Chiefs and ESPN in Mexico

Barcelona, October 14, 2025 – The Kansas City Chiefs and ESPN Mexico today announced a multi-year media rights agreement for the Mexican market. The contract secures exclusive rights to broadcast three Chiefs pre-season games and two original documentary series, The Franchise (10–12 episodes) and Viva Chiefs (two-part docuseries), over the next three years.

SPORTFIVE, the global sports marketing agency representing the Kansas City Chiefs in Mexico and regions outside the United States of America, facilitated and negotiated the agreement on behalf of the four-time Super Bowl champions.

The collaboration highlights the synergies between SPORTFIVE's Global Sales and Media teams, who worked closely to deliver another landmark agreement with two long-term partners. For SPORTFIVE, the deal represents a strong continuation of its cooperation with the Kansas City Chiefs, which has already expanded successfully in the DACH region over the past three years and was recently extended until 2028.

"We have been committed to the Mexico market for a number of years and are excited to begin this multi-year relationship with ESPN Mexico so that Chiefs fans – and all NFL fans – can have access to our unique, original content in this important and growing market," Chiefs Vice President of Partnership Strategy Kellen Begnoche said. "We also want to thank the SPORTFIVE team for their partnership and help in getting this agreement across the finish line."

The agreement also reinforces SPORTFIVE's strategic focus on Latin America. Mexico remains a key growth market for the agency's LATAM operations, and ESPN is one of SPORTFIVE's most important partners in the region, making this deal another strong example of SPORTFIVE's ability to create value for both rightsholders and broadcasters.

"This agreement is a great example of how our global collaboration with the Kansas City Chiefs continues to expand into new markets," said Christian Koller, Senior Vice President Global Sales at SPORTFIVE. "Building on our strong alliance in DACH, we are proud to now also support the Chiefs in Mexico, one of the most exciting growth markets for the NFL internationally."

"Mexico is a strategic priority for our LATAM business, and partnering with ESPN to bring premium Chiefs content to fans in the region reflects our constant and active presence in the market," added Pedro Cubillos, Executive Director Global Media at SPORTFIVE. "We are delighted to further strengthen our cooperation with both the Kansas City Chiefs and ESPN through this agreement."

This latest agreement marks another milestone in SPORTFIVE's mission to connect leading sports organizations with media platforms and fans worldwide.
