BREAST CANCER

Breast cancer is the second-most common cancer in women. More than 300,000 women are diagnosed each year. Breast cancer is most often diagnosed in women, but it also affects men.

Early diagnosis and treatment are critical to surviving breast cancer. Ninety percent of patients who have Stage I cancers survive 10 years or more.

All women should take an active role in managing their breast health:

  • Perform monthly self exams at the same time every month.
  • Get yearly mammograms starting at age 40 or as suggested by your physician based on family history or other risk factors for breast cancer.
  • Have a doctor perform an annual clinical breast exam.

Our breast cancer specialists are leaders in this field. They work closely as a team to provide you with the latest advances in prevention, diagnosis, treatment and access to clinical trials.
