Before the 2016 NFL Draft and watch party began Thursday night, Kansas City Chiefs chairman and CEO Clark Hunt welcomed more than 50 special guests to the University of Kansas Hospital Training Complex for a special reception to commemorate the unveiling of the 2015-2016 Community Report.

The guests in attendance included those individuals who are shown on the pages of the report or individuals who represent the organizations featured in the report.

"One of the most important things that my dad (Chiefs founder Lamar Hunt) established from day one," Hunt explained, "is that we were very privileged to be a part of this community.

"It's a responsibility of everyone in the organization, including the players, to give back, and that's a lesson that he instilled for the four or so decades that he was alive when the Chiefs were here in Kansas City and something that we've carried on as a tradition."

After Hunt finished speaking to the folks in attendance, Ann Thomas, the president and CEO of the Children's Place, helped him reveal the book's cover, which features Chiefs wide receiver Jeremy Maclin and two children at a Play60 event.

"Something we started doing five or six years ago was putting together a book every couple of years to remember the ways that the Chiefs are lucky enough to participate in the community," Hunt said. "Tonight is our privilege to unveil that book. In addition to drafting some guys later on, that's why we are here."

Following the ceremony, the guests in attendance were invited to go on tours of the Chiefs locker room.
