10th-Annual GEHA Field at Arrowhead 5K set for Friday, May 12

Participants will finish under the lights on the field

The Kansas City Chiefs and Arrowhead Events, the club's special events arm, are hosting the 10th-annual GEHA Field at Arrowhead 5K at 7 p.m. on Friday, May 12.

Celebrating its 10th year in 2023, the GEHA Field at Arrowhead 5K run/walk is designed to give fans the opportunity to experience a run/walk event that offers something no other race event in Kansas City offers – the chance for runners to race inside the stadium. Whether you run or walk, come in first or just run for fun, the GEHA Field at Arrowhead 5K is designed for everyone to enjoy.

Runners and walkers will navigate their way through the parking lots around GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium and Kauffman Stadium before the race route will take them inside the home of the Chiefs to run through the concourse and finish under the lights on the field.

Registration is now open at www.chiefs.com/GEHAField5k with two early registration discount periods available. Early-bird registration, which is open now through Friday, March 31 is $35 for Chiefs Season Ticket Members and $40 for the public. Standard registration runs from Saturday, April 1 through Sunday, April 30 and is $40 for Chiefs STMs and $45 for the public. Pre-event registration will run from Monday, May 1 through the event on Friday, May 12 and is $45 for Chiefs STMs and $50 for the public. There will not be any on-site registration the day of the event. A portion of the proceeds from the event will benefit the Kansas City Sports Commission's Camp WIN.

All participants have the chance to run on the field where their favorite players do and will receive a 2023 GEHA Field at Arrowhead 5K t-shirt and bib, a 14-day FREE All-Access Pass to Chiefs Fit and unique content via Facebook Event Group and the RaceJoy app, as well as the ability to purchase additional event-exclusive athletic apparel as part of their race packet. The race will continue to have a virtual option for out-of-town participants, as well as those who want to run on their own route.

For the post-race celebration on the field, there will be a festival atmosphere with special guests, including KC Wolf, the Rumble and Chiefs Cheerleaders.
