11th-Annual GEHA Field at Arrowhead 5K Set for Friday, May 10


The Kansas City Chiefs and Arrowhead Events, the club's special events arm, invite runners of all abilities to 'Run Like a Champion' as part of the annual GEHA Field at Arrowhead 5K, which is scheduled for 7 p.m. on Friday, May 10.

New in 2024, there will be a special 1K run/walk for participants ages 12 years old and younger. The youth-specific event will start at 6:30 p.m., ahead of the 7 p.m. 5K.

Celebrating its 11th year in 2024, the GEHA Field at Arrowhead 5K run/walk is designed to give participants the opportunity to experience a run/walk event that offers something no other race event in Kansas City offers – the chance to race inside the stadium. Whether you run or walk, come in first or just run for fun, the GEHA Field at Arrowhead 5K is designed for the serious athlete, the casual participant, and everyone in between.

Runners and walkers will navigate their way through the parking lots around GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium and Kauffman Stadium before the race route will take them inside the home of the Chiefs to run through the concourse and finish under the lights on the field. As participants enter the field and head towards the finish line, they'll have a gameday tunnel runout experience.

Registration is now open at with three registration periods, including two early registration discount periods. There will not be any on-site registration the day of the event.

Registration is now open at with one Early-bird registration, which is open now through Sunday, March 31 is $15 for ages 12 years old and younger, $37 for Chiefs Season Ticket Members and $43 for the public. Standard registration runs from Monday, April 1 through Tuesday, April 30 and is $18 for ages 12 years old and younger, $43 for Chiefs STMs and $48 for the public. Pre-event registration will run from Wednesday, May 1 through the event on Friday, May 10 and is $20 for ages 12 years old and younger, $48 for Chiefs STMs and $53 for the public.

All participants have the chance to run on the field where their favorite players do and will receive a GEHA Field at Arrowhead 5K t-shirt and bib, special offers from Chiefs Fit as well as the ability to purchase a finisher's coin as an exclusive add-on as part of their race packet. The race will continue to have a virtual option for out-of-town participants, as well as those who want to run on their own route.

For the post-race celebration on the field, there will be a festival atmosphere with special guests, including KC Wolf, the Rumble and Chiefs Cheerleaders. The Chiefs Hall of Honor will be open for participants to visit upon conclusion of the event.
