The Kansas City Chiefs retained one of their top playmakers from a year ago on Friday by re-signing wide receiver Tyquan Thornton.
Thornton, whose career in Kansas City began as a member of the practice squad in 2024, made the Chiefs' roster ahead of last season following a strong training camp, and when given the opportunity, he didn't disappoint.
The former second-round pick, who spent the first three years of his career in New England, caught 19 passes for a career-best 438 yards and three touchdowns in 14 games for Kansas City, leading the Chiefs with eight receptions of at least 25 yards.
Now back in Kansas City, Thornton will have a chance to build on last season's growth in a Chiefs uniform.
