Training Camp for the Kansas City Chiefs is just a week away, which means that football season is right around the corner.
In preparation for Training Camp, which will be open to the public beginning on July 26, we've been breaking down the position groups and individual players that will be taking the field in St. Joseph.
As the season inches closer, this marks the time of the year when analysts from across the web rank who they believe to be the top teams in the NFL. Those lists have been kind to the Chiefs lately, such as this one from ESPN.com's Bill Barnwell.
Here's part of what Barnwell had to say about the Chiefs' potential on offense:
"…it's hard to imagine what else Patrick Mahomes could ask for than Reid as a coach and this bevy of talent as targets. Every team is susceptible to injuries, and Mahomes will have growing pains, but no offense has as much upside across the board at the skill-position spots as these Chiefs."

Speaking of the offense, the Chiefs will feature two of the top wide receivers in all of football this season with Tyreek Hill and Sammy Watkins. In this week's edition of Chiefs by the Numbers, we broke down just how special each player was in 2017 – and what they may be able to accomplish together this upcoming season.
Another one of those playmakers on offense, tight end Travis Kelce, was recognized for his wardrobe by Sports Illustrated this week.

On the other side of the ball, scouting legend and NFL.com analyst Gil Brandt cited safety Eric Berry as the 15th-best player at his position of all-time this week. Brandt has been ranking who he believes to be the top players at every position in NFL history, and Berry was just one of several Chiefs to make the cut.
In other news, with fantasy football season nearly here, the Chiefs will be hosting the sixth-annual VIP Fantasy Football Draft Event at Arrowhead Stadium next month. Click here for more information.
And finally, speaking of Arrowhead, country music star Kenny Chesney was back in Kansas City on Saturday night.
