The Kansas City Chiefs took the field for the sixth practice of training camp on Tuesday morning as they continued their preparation for the upcoming season.
Here's a quick rundown of what took place during Tuesday's practice, and for reference, all previous practice reports are available below:
1. It was Alumni Day at camp.
As they do every year, the Chiefs invited dozens of former players to practice on Tuesday morning.
In total, twenty-six former players – representing generations of Chiefs football – attended the practice. Some recent players who stopped by included Spencer Ware, Charcandrick West and Dwayne Bowe.
Following practice, Head Coach Andy Reid invited the alumni onto the field to break down the huddle alongside the current players.

2. Defensive tackle Marcus Harris and safety Chamarri Conner teamed up for a takeaway.
Harris, a "Reserve/Future" signee back in February who spent two years at the University of Kansas from 2019-20, teamed up with Conner to make one of the plays of Tuesday's practice.
The 6-foot-3, 295-pound lineman got his hands up during an 11-on-11, red zone segment and tipped the ball at the line of scrimmage, lofting it upwards and into the arms of Conner for the takeaway.
The play was an example of what the Chiefs will hope to do more of in 2026. Kansas City was near the bottom of the league in batted passes last season with just eight. For context, during the Chiefs' championship runs in 2022 (30) and 2023 (19), Kansas City led the league in that category.
Conner also recorded another noteworthy play a bit later in practice when he punched the ball away at the catch point during 7-on-7 drills. Conner, who has recorded significant time as a traditional safety this summer, is off to a strong start in St. Joseph.
3. Quarterback Patrick Mahomes made a handful of terrific throws on Tuesday.
Mahomes checked off another benchmark in his injury recovery on Monday when he took the field in pads and competed in 11-on-11 drills. The three-time Super Bowl MVP was then back out there for Tuesday's practice, and unsurprisingly, he made some memorable throws during the session.
Notably, Mahomes found tight end Travis Kelce with a laser of a pass up the seam during 7-on-7 drills. Kelce hauled in the perfectly-placed pass with one hand without breaking stride to the roar of the fans in attendance.
Then, a bit later during an 11-on-11 period, Mahomes launched a throw outside the numbers in the direction of Tyquan Thornton, who completed a beautiful, over-the-shoulder catch.
Mahomes also continues to move well, whether that be maneuvering the pocket or keeping the ball by design.
4. The Chiefs signed wide receiver Jeff Weimer this week.
Weimer took the field for his second practice with Kansas City on Tuesday after signing with the team on Monday morning. He made some plays, too, logging a diving reception during 1-on-1 drills and another diving catch amidst an 11-on-11 period.
A rookie free agent, Weimer played for West Virginia University in 2025. Prior to joining the Mountaineers, Weimer spent time at City College of San Francisco (2021), UNLV (2022) and Idaho State (2024). His top collegiate season took place at Idaho State, where he caught 75 passes for 1,016 yards and six touchdowns.
5. Here's a look at Tuesday's injury report.
Cornerback Kristian Fulton (hip), wide receiver Cyrus Allen (bone bruise on shin), wide receiver Xavier Worthy (shoulder sprain) and defensive end Ashton Gillotte (hamstring) didn't practice for the Chiefs on Tuesday.
Defensive tackle Omarr Norman-Lott (knee) also remains on the "Physically Unable to Perform" list (PUP), and did not participate in Tuesday's practice.
Next up, the Chiefs will take the field on Wednesday for the seventh practice of training camp. For a look at the training camp schedule or for more information on how to reserve tickets, click here.
